Axis Communications AB (OMXAXIS) is a manufacturer of IT equipment, mostly known for its print servers and network cameras. According to its latest annual report, it has sold over 1,000,000 network cameras, thus claiming to be the world leader in that market. Most of Axis' equipment contain an embedded computer with some flash memory and running a custom version of Linux. One of its major breakthroughs in technology was the development of JFFS, which extended the life time of the devices' flash memory.
