Sir Arthur Elibank Havelock, 4th Baronet Doyle GCMG, GCSI, GCIE (February 21, 1858 – February 19, 1948) was a career British colonial governor, serving as Governor of Sierra Leone from 1880, of Natal, of Madras, of Ceylon from 1890 to 1895, and of Tasmania from 1901 to 1904. He was 4th Baronet Doyle, but was always known as Arthur Havelock. He was a captain in the British army. While Governor of Sierra Leone, he was involved in the dispute between Britain and Liberia over the Gallinas Territory. His governorship of Natal ended with the Second Boer War. A monument to his administration in Madras is the YMCA Building, the construction of which he micromanaged. A magnificent portrait of him hangs at Fort St. George. He married Anne Grace Norris on August 15, 1871, daughter of Sir William Norris He died just two days before his 90th birthday.
