Ariel Rivera Quotes

"I was surprised. I was riding a jeepney then. So I whispered to my cousin that it was my song being played on the radio." - on hearing his song on the radio for the first time "I was so nervous then. I kept rushing in and out of the comfort room. I felt sick." - on his concert stage debut "I speak my mind. I don’t care whether other people like my opinion or not. I don’t sugar-coat. I am honest and I am true to my word." "I’ve never looked at my job as a stepping stone to something bigger. Rather, I consider it as a blessing. I’ve reached my goal. Being happy with myself, with my family, and with my life." “Maloko! I like to play practical jokes on the set like throwing things, making light of the situation.” - when asked for one adjective that would best describe his personality "Family always comes first. Even if I am presented with the best project in the business, if I think it would interfere or adversely affect my family, I will not accept it. It’s always my family first." "There’s no need to insinuate anything because I really love my wife. I will never give rumor-mongers the chance to even think that a reconciliation (between me and Regine) is possible. That’s the way to handle things in this industry. It’s really best to stop intrigues even before they start. Otherwise it would just become bigger and bigger." "Firm, but at the same time approachable." -describing himself as a father
