The AriZona Beverage Company is a popular producer of various flavours of iced tea and energy drinks from the United States, based in Lake Success, New York. The AriZona Beverage Company is a branch of Ferolito, Vultaggio & Sons, which started out as a brewery in New York City. It was named in honor of the U.S. state of Arizona, on a whim from one of the founder's wives. Supposedly, neither Ferolito nor Vultaggio had visited Arizona prior to naming the company. AriZona Iced Tea is known for its inexpensive "tall boy" drinks of 23.5 fl. oz. iced teas and other beverages for $.99. In October 2007, AriZona Beverages launched a new website to coincide with their fresh new look. AriZona Beverage Company Developed by Mpire Creative Celebrity & Luxury Brand Marketers

AriZona in the UK

The AriZona range in the United Kingdom is much simplified, with only the bottled Green Tea varieties being available from such retailers as Holland & Barrett, Selfridges and Whittards.

Recent news

In August 2007, The Tata Group conglomerate of India began looking at a number of acquisition targets in the US beverage market and is expected to mount a $2-billion buyout offer for AriZona Beverages, which tops the Tatas’ wishlist with a handsome portfolio of tea, coffee, water and juice brands, besides beer and snacks. If a bid goes through, the Tatas will keep both the bottled and powder beverage operations and may divest the beer and snack businesses. Tatas are believed to have been interested in AriZona Beverages for almost three years. Merrill Lynch is the group’s advisor for the possible bid. [1]
