Ape Escape Million Monkeys is a Japan-only video game for the PlayStation 2. It is the fourth in the Ape Escape series.

To save the day, and the planet, players need to take on a mighty army of angry apes, hell-bent on world domination.

Characters

The story of the game features almost all preexisting characters from the Ape Escape games.

Kakeru/Spike : The main hero of the Ape Escape series.
Natsumi/Natalie : The professor's granddaughter.
Haruka/Helga :Kakeru's crush,she can be unlocked by the player by finishing the game.
Charu/Casi : In previous games, she was a computer program. In this game, she is an android like in the anime, only resembling her game appearances.
Hakase/The Professor
Specter : The villain of the Ape Escape series.
A team of Six Pipo-Monkeys, consisting of 6 different monkeys who help Specter on his levels. Their pants are yellow, green, black, red, blue, and aqua blue, respectively.
The Pipotron Monkeys, in a team of Pipotron Red, Pipotron Blue, and Pipotron Yellow
Pipotron G, the brute, yet more kind member of the New Pipotrons.

Mission 31 (Last Boss): Burobukoa, a giant mutated half monster half robot. He can heal whenever his health is low.

Pipotron J and the rest of them are a new species of Pipotrons in Ape Escape Million Monkeys. They star in the first season of Ape Escape anime.

Pipotron J: He is the leader of the new species of Pipotrons. He turned against his creator and killed him. He survived when Specter's battleship crashed into the sea. Nothing was left mentioning about later on in the game Until Bu n' Ku.
Pipotron G: He was a gorilla before he was turned into a Pipotron. Pipotron G saved Natalie and Casi when a giant chunk of the ceiling falls down. He didn't survive it. He is a playable character in Versus or Coliesum Mode.
Pipotron Kuratsuku: He is the genius of the gang. A true hacker. He created Virus Casi to stop Specter and Kakeru in Virtual Space.
Pipotron Meta: He is the only Pipotron that can morph into anyone. He is one of the boss battles in Team Specter's story mode. His creator kills him after failing to kill Specter.
The Scientist:He created a new species of Pipotrons, after he fails to get the hands of Haruka/Helga's father's disk in Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed. He kills two of the new Pipotrons (excluding Pipotron G who got crushed by the falling ceiling) for failing to carry out his orders. He was strangled to the death by Pipotron J and went down with one of the battleships, that had been lit flame accidentally (he had been aboard it when he got strangled).
