Location and features
It is located in the northeast of the island. It covers an area of 1.5 km², and has a population of 810. Anabar is also a Nauruan constituency, made up of the districts Anabar, Anibare and Ijuw. It covers an area of 5.1 km², and has a population of 1,240. It returns 2 members to the Nauruan Parliament in Yaren.
Notable local person
Ludwig Scotty, President of Nauru in 2003 and from 2004 to 2007, represents Anabar in the Parliament of Nauru.
