Amazon is a Brazilian heavy metal band from Valinhos, about 80 kilometers from São Paulo. Formed in 2002 by guitar player Renato Angelo (previously of Counterparts and Mighty Athena) and vocalist Sabrina Todt, today Amazon is also lined up by bassist Danilo Angelo and the drummer Marcos Frassão. Amazon has so far released a single ("While There Is Time"), a promotional edition and a studio edition of the album "Victoria Regia" and the DVD "Ao Vivo em São Paulo" ("Live in São Paulo") recorded during a show in 5 December 2005, when the band shared the stage with Nightwish.
