Alonzo is a character in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats. He is usually depicted as a black and white tom. He sings a considerable portion of the Song of the Jellicles and is occasionally considered by members of the CATS fandom to be Cassandra's mate. He's also thought to be the lietenant or son-like figure of Munkustrap, the second in command. He isn't the most reliable of cats, though he is high-ranked in the tribe. He has a mate already, but he can be seen flirting with attractive Bombalurina during the Jellicle Ball. Also, when five females are dancing - and waiting for some toms to dance with them - Alonzo picks fun Etcetera over his own mate. And he can be seen cuddling with oh-so-cute Jemima and Victoria at times. In the movie, Alonzo is played by Jason Gardiner.
