Alice Barrett (born December 19, 1956) is an American actress. She was born in New York, New York. She is also credited by her married name, Alice Barrett-Mitchell. Among her TV and movie credits, Barrett is best known for her portrayal of offbeat, psychic private detective Frankie Frame Winthrop on the soap opera Another World from 1989 to 1996. The grisly and violent way in which her character was murdered on Another World created a storm of controversy for the soap opera's executives and remains infamous in soap lore.
