Alfonso Carlos of Bourbon, Duke of San Jaime

Alfonso Carlos de Bourbon, Duke of San Jaime (London 12 September 1849-Vienna 29 September 1936) was the Legitimist claimant to the throne of France under the name Alphonse-Charles I' and the Carlist claimant to the throne of Spain under the name Alfonso Carlos I. He was the second son of Juan, Count of Montizón and Archduchess Beatrix of Austria-Este. His maternal grandparents were Francis IV, Duke of Modena and Maria Beatrice of Savoy. He married Infanta Maria Neves of Portugal, a daughter of Miguel of Portugal and Adelaide of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg. They had one son, who however died in childhood. He left no surviving issue. The Carlist claim passed on to Xavier, Duke of Parma.
