Alex is a fictional character, a mutant in the Marvel Comics Universe. His/her first appearance was in Ghost Rider (3rd series) #8 released in December 1990. He was created by Howard Mackie, Javier Saltares, Mark Texeira.

Fictional character biography

Little is known about Alex's past but somehow he/she ended up with the Morlocks in the caverns beneath Cypress Hills' Salem Fields Cemetery. At some point, Alex and the rest of the Morlocks were instructed to abduct children before Masque could deform them with his powers. Due to their actions, Alex was among the Morlocks who came into conflict with Ghost Rider. When Ghost Rider held Sally hostage, Alex attacks him to force him to release Sally, mistakingly believing Ghost Rider to be Masque or an agent of Masque. It is unknown whether Alex was a male or a female and whether or not he/she was actually the sibling Sally stated he/she was.[1] After the events of M-Day, it is unknown whether Alex still retains his/her powers.

Powers and abilities

Alex is an amorphous, blob-like creature, able to engulf and smother others.
