Aidan Craig Daly plays basketball for the Hawkes Bay Hawks in the New Zealand National Basketball League. He weighs in at 85 kg and is 1.81m tall. Daly was born on August 22nd, 1978 in Napier, Hawkes Bay. He attended Napier Boys High School, and Notre Dame Academy in the United States. In Daly's young career he played for Hawkes Bay U14, 16, 18, 23, Wellington U23, NZ U18, and Korus U14 teams; he also previously played for the Wellington Saints in the New Zealand Basketball League. Daly believes that his best game occurred 1999 against Emmanuel High School in the United States, in which he scored 44 points; he regards St. James High School, in the United States, as his toughest opponent. Daly has stated that his idol is Michael Jordan and that his favorite team is the North Carolina Tar Heels.
