Aidan Collins (born 18 October 1986 in Harlow) is an English footballer who is currently playing for Chelmsford City F.C. Having spent the early years of his career at Ipswich he made his debut aged just 16, in May 2003, when Town beat Derby County 4-1. Due to injury and illness he never made a major impact on the senior squad, however he played an important role in the very successful youth team. Though Collins made 3 league appearances in the 2005/06 season for Ipswich, he was put up for a free transfer due to a persistent injury and was duly snapped up by Cambridge United in January 2007. On March 31 he appeared with his brother, Jordan Collins, in Cambridge's club record win (7-0 v. Weymouth F.C.) to become the first pair of siblings to play for United for 13 years. Aidan was later released by Cambridge United, after which he retired from professional football. He was later tempted back into the game by Chelmsford City F.C., who signed him on August 1 2007.
