Aias Salaminas F.C. or Aias Salamina F.C. formally , Ajax of Salamis in English , Aias or Aiantas in Salamis Island and in Greece ( Greek : Αίας Σαλαμίνας ) , which was established in 1931 it was a great Hellenic football in the decades of 1960 and 1970 . In the past had played with the best soccer clubs of Greece like : Olympiakos CFP , Panathinaikos F.C. , AEK Athens F.C. , PAOK F.C. , AEL and many others . In 13th July in 1973 played with Dutch AFC Ajax , which beat Greek Ajax with a score of 0-2 on Salamis Island . In the 2006 - 2007 soccer season Aias ensured it's promotion to the Third Division of hellenic professional football, with a first place position in it's group . The pitch is on the road amongst Salamis city and Aianteio . The club strip is blue and white . The pitch has capacity 1000 seats . In the past Aias had gained many championships and cups in lower Hellenic divisions . The roster of team has been full with players who became stars of Hellenic football, after their excellent progress with Salamis football club eventually moved to larger greek team . Aias Salaminas derived his name from the Salaminan king Ajax the Great . The current manager is Ilias Fyntanis who with his tactics and his roster choices has accomplished much for the football club of Salamis Island . The president of the team is Anastasios Loukas , who is a big local businessman of the area of Saronic Gulf .
