99 Luftballons is the third album by the band Nena. It is composed of tracks from Nena's first two albums (Nena and ? (Fragezeichen)). It is also their first album released in the United States, and the first with English language songs. The album was a moderate success in America.

Trivia

  • The Japanese release has an alternate cover featuring a shot of the band from the well-known, Blondie-inspired "Red" photoshoot. The back cover misspells "Das Land Der Elefanten" as "Das Lang Der Elefanten".
  • Kino has an English version called "At The Movies", which was released as a promo in Brazil and Canada. Recently, it was included on Einmal ist Keinmal, a Nena compilation that features rare recordings.
  • The album was titled "99 Luftballons" in America, "International Album" in Europe, and "First America" in Japan
