An increased reactivity (that generally ameliorated over time) observed in animals following bilateral ELECTROLYTIC LESIONS of the SEPTAL NUCLEI. Once thought to indicate critical involvement of the septal nuclei in EMOTION, septal rage is now a forgotten phenomenon.
