‘Roll-on/roll-off’ curriculum
A form of curriculum that allows students to commence a course whenever they wish to and to complete it whenever they desire; it is not controlled by the academic term or year. Courses are usually modular and contain a number of different routes through them. In the United States, this is sometimes called open entry-open exit.
