Dictionary of Environmental Health
An occupational skin disorder also known medically as oil folliculitis. The condition is usually initiated by petroleum oils.
These irritate the hair follicles on exposed parts of the body, such as on the hands, arms, legs or face. Irritation leads to the blockage of the follicles, which in turn leads to the formation of blackheads. If untreated, secondary pustules or inflamed spots may develop.
