A naturally occurring ELASTOMER obtained commercially primarily from natural rubber latex produced by the rubber tree Hevea brasiliensis. It is used unblended in the production of tyres for larger vehicles such as aircraft and heavy agricultural machinery, and as an additive to synthetic rubber in the manufacture of car tyres.
