to harmonize rival doctrines on the nature of Reality. Recognizes two forms of Truth, a relative (Samvriti) and an absolute (Paramārtha), but the foundation of both is Sūnyatā, an absolute Voidness of all things or particulars, of which nothing can be said. Later teachers included Āryadeva (third century) and Sāntideva (seventh century). Cp. Yogācāra School.
