Kālidāsa

regarded as the greatest Indian poet and author of dramas and dated around the reign of Chandra Gupta II Vikramāditya who ruled from cca 380–413. His best known work is the drama Abhijñānaśakuntala (The Recognition of Śakuntala) and his best love lyric is Meghadūta (Cloud Messenger).
