Prophet in Jerusalem, ca. 620 to 580 B.C.E., before the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians in 586. He warned that God would not protect Jerusalem if Israel violated the covenant that God made with them in the Torah (Jeremiah 7 and 26).
