Summary

In Chapter 18, Zelda and Scott decide to take a trip to Europe before becoming parents. Unfortunately, the trip bores them and they decide to move back to Montgomery. However, life back in Montgomery no longer suits them, so they quickly move to St. Paul, Minnesota. In October of 1921, Zelda gives birth to her daughter. Although Zelda wants to name the baby Patricia, Scott overrules her and names the baby Scottie.

Chapter 19 takes place at the beginning of 1922, as Scott continues to party with his friends while Zelda tries to take on motherhood. Zelda is exhausted and insecure about her body. When she finds out that she is again pregnant, she decides to terminate the pregnancy.

Scott begins writing Broadway plays while, thanks to the hiring of a nanny, Zelda writes a review of Scott’s latest novel. Scott notes that Zelda has a...
