Summary

In Pages 201 - 263, Casey and Silas meet up. Silas got a bug on a field trip, and still feels sick. The date is strained. When they part ways, Silas does not kiss Casey. Casey decides the relationship is over, tired of noncommittal men.

Casey receives her first rejection letter. Adam tells Casey he is going to sell half his property, and she will have to meet up. Casey rants to Caleb.

Casey ignores Silas's repeated calls. Casey reads everything Oscar has read, including his newest book Thunder Road. She admires his prose, but thinks his stories are too slow and sad. At his house, she tells him she read Thunder Road and liked it. Excited, he tells her he loves her.
