Penryn

Penryn is a seventeen-year-old girl who befriended an angel after saving him from death. Penryn is a tough girl who has taken extensive self-defense lessons, a skill that could come in handy after angels have invaded the world. Penryn finds herself stuck trying to care for her mentally ill mother and her hideously disfigured sister while also trying to take an active part in the fight against the angels. On top of all this, Penryn is in love with an angel.

Penryn spends much of this novel tracking her sister, as she did in the previous novel. Penryn ends up killing Burnt, the angel that caused her so much trouble in the previous novel. By doing this, Penryn establishes the sword Raffe gave her as the alpha sword. Penryn’s new skills with the sword could prove to be important in the next novel as the fight against...
