Summary

In "The Broken Shore", George apologizes to Martin for being rude to him. However, when he offends her by saying that her attitude was negative, she becomes angry and tells him to stop writing again.

Pages 145-147 focus on Henry. Amy texts Henry to tell him his mailbox note meant a lot to her, which makes him think. He writes a letter to Rachel about dealing with Cal’s death, and puts it in her book.

Henry offers sympathy and support through this note to Rachel in "Cloud Atlas". They begin to send notes back and forth about the meaning of love, as well as life and death. Henry invites Rachel out dancing that night, and she accepts.
