Summary

Part 4: The Unraveling, 39 – 45

In Chapter 39, Juliette makes her way into the new silo and into the cafeteria. With no water, she opens cans of soup and covers the suit in these, hoping to wash off any toxins she might have carried in with her, and then pries off the helmet. Although the odor from dead bodies is overpowering, the air is breathable.

In Chapter 40, Knox realizes as he assigns jobs in the upheaval that he is planning that having the Supply department on their side is key. He, Marck, Shirly, and Courtnee head up to Supply to convince them to join, while the others are ordered to stockpile food, water and guns. McLain, head of Supply, is angry with Knox for making her department part of Juliette’s escape plan and has to be convinced to join Mechanical but Knox is successful...
