Chapter 22 Summary

The four travelers encounter some of the strangest creatures yet. As they approach what looks like a hill of rocks, a short man with a large head tells them to stop. The Scarecrow sees no other way to reach Glinda's castle and politely tells the man that the travelers must climb up the hill.

Suddenly, the man's head springs from his shoulders and knocks the Scarecrow down. Another Hammer Head knocks the Lion backwards. The travelers soon realize the hill is covered with the odd creatures. They have no choice but to call the Winged Monkeys and ask to be carried to the land of the Quadlings where Glinda, the.....
