Chapter 10 Summary

Our band of travelers is not in Munchkin land anymore. They notice that in the pleasant land around them, the color of choice is green, not blue. The grass is a deep rich green and the people all dress in green. They hope this is a sign that are close to the Emerald City.

After a day of walking, they spend the night with a family who tells them some discouraging news; the Wizard never lets anyone come into his presence. Dorothy absorbs this news and decides that they must continue their journey and still try to see the Wizard.

On the next day, they arrive at the City of Emeralds. A closed gate bars their entrance. Dorothy rings the bell and boldly tells the gatekeeper that they have come to see the Wizard. It.....
