Part Six: August Summary

North Pole - Jack and Auggie's science project is a success. That night all the parents walked by Auggie's table and saw him. He's used to people having a hard time seeing him, but it's overwhelming when it all comes at once. Jack's parents and Auggie's parents stick close to the table.

The Auggie Doll - In February the "war" at school gets worse. By March the girls and some of the guys are getting sick of it. Julian starts a rumor that Jack has hired a "hit man" to "get" him. This makes people laugh at Julian behind his back. Auggie notices that the Plague game has stopped and people are starting to joke around with him. People are even nice about the hearing aids he recently started wearing.
