Summary

Lady narrates the next few sections. She went to the housewarming party but her only joy came from posting secret tweets on Twitter. The next morning, she woke up and saw S out in the pool swimming laps. She went outside to tell her to wear a bathing cap. S asked her about the photograph Kit had taken of her. Lady did not want to talk much about it, but she felt as if Kit had intentionally taken an unflattering photo of her that made her look sad and desperate. When Kit showed Karl the photo, he had fallen for the image, though, and he had bought the picture and asked Kit for Lady’s contact information.
