Chapters 31-35 Summary

In Chapter 31, Shota the witch woman assumes the guise of Richard's mother to trick him. Then she causes an apparition of the wizard Zedd to appear, attacking her. Richard fights the pseudo-wizard to save Shota. In gratitude, she gives Richard one wish. He wishes for Zedd and Kahlan to be set free, instead of wishing for the final box of Orden. The witch woman makes several disturbing yet true prophesies. If Kahlan lives, she will use her power as Confessor against Richard. The Seeker will have to use his sword to fight Zedd's wizard's fire. Queen Milena has the first box of Orden, but not for long.

In Chapter 32, the wizard Giller makes plans to run away, taking Rachel and the box of Orden with him. He creates a fake box of Orden and takes the real one. In the forest...
