Chapter 15-20 Summary

Chapter 15, The New Mamma

The new Mr. and Mrs. Gibson's returned home. When Mr. Gibson came home Molly asked him if she had to call Mrs. Gibson 'Mamma' and he said it would make her new step mother happy if she would, so Molly agreed to do so in order to make her own father happy.

With in a short time of being in her new home the new Mrs. Gibson had managed to make it unbearable for the cook, and for Betty. Around this same time Mr. Coxe who had professed his affection for Molly earlier got a letter from an elderly uncle asking him to come stay with him or be cut out of his will, so Mr. Coxe also left.
