Delgado aka The Spectator aka The Bar Owner

Delgado is the antagonist of this novel. He is the one who is actually responsible for killing both Son and Eileen. It is indicated at the end of the novel that he feels a thrill because he was able to sit in on the trial in which he watched another man convicted on the crimes Delgado had committed. At one point Delgado is referred to as the spectator while at another point he is identified as the owner of the bar. It can be inferred that it was Delgado who bought the bar where Junior drank because he had been studying Junior and knew the bar was the ideal place to drug him.
