Minerva Min Green

Minerva "Min" Green is a junior in high school. She is also a huge movie buff. Throughout the novel, she relates everything that happens in her life to various scenes in various movies. Her best friend, Al, and her other friends, are also big movie buffs so they share the love for the cinema.

At Al's sixteenth birthday party, Min meets the co-captain of the high school basketball team, Ed Slaterton. Min says that she didn't realize that she wanted Ed until she met him. Even though Ed and Min lead completely different lives, Min finds herself emerged in Ed's world. While Min tries enlighten Ed on cinematic details, Ed tries to enlighten Min on basketball.
