Summary

Chapter 29 – Amy returns, unable to get a refill of her prescription (because it is too soon after having the first one filled) and unable to remember taking all of the original prescription. When Rich thanks her for the clothes, she tells him they are for Mike. Rich then confronts her about the negotiations on the property, and after a mild confrontation about Rich invading her privacy, she tells him she had been planning to donate it to some kind of charitable cause. They argue about whether she is a Republican, with Amy saying that she is only what Mike wants her to be, that she herself is nothing. She then speaks of how the only truly important thing in her life is Rich, and that she could lend him money. He refuses: “borrowing money from the billionaire you’ve been screwing is tacky,” he...
