Summary

In “post empire,” in the summer of 2001 Ellis suffered a seizure while working out at the Crunch gym. He was taken to St. Vincent’s hospital where he panicked and left without treatment. He was supposed to visit his doctor but did not. He believed the seizure was caused either by increased doses of Klonopin, insomnia, cocaine use, or dehydration or a combination of those factors. Ellis also notes that his anxiety was increased because he had a stalker who was sending him packages and letters at home. Some of the packages included packets of spices or powders the stalker wanted him to try. The letters contained what Ellis interpreted as veiled threats.
