Jack gives the Dylar to Winnie Richards to analyze. Jack tells Babette that she's changed. Jack finally tracks down Winnie and she tells him the physical characteristics of the Dylar pill, but she cannot tell him what the Dylar pill is used for, specifically. Jack confronts Babette about the Dylar. He is worried, because his Babette is a joyous person and doesn't have self-pity or gloom. She explains about Dylar and Mr. Gray.
