Chapters 10-18 Summary

In Chapter 10, Ellie brings Sean up to his room to explain about the drawing and finding the number on the drawing. Sean suggests that perhaps Nina opened a credit card account, and that they could try to get in online using Nina's social security card number. They go into the spare bedroom -which is Nina's old room. Ellie's mom comes home from her nursing shift, and Sean introduces himself. She then goes to sleep. Meanwhile, Ellie successfully finds an online account for Nina. There are two charges: One in Edgebridge, the other for Sweetie's Diner in Pointview, Nebraska. Sean suggests going to Nebraska. They also find Nina's passport.

In Chapter 11, Ellie recalls a visit to her aunt's house when she was twelve, and Nina when she was fourteen. They pretend they are from France, but five days into the trip, Nina...
