Point of View

The stories collected in Where the Wild Ladies Are are written from a range of different points of view. "Smartening Up," "My Superpower," "Quite a Catch," "Loved One," "Silently Burning," "A New Recruit," "Team Sarashina," "A Day Off," and "Having a Blast," are all written from the first person point of view. In all of these stories, the narrator's first person voice lends a confessional tone to the narrative. The narrators seem disinterested in hiding the truth of their feelings and opinions from the reader, thus allowing her into all of their distinct emotional experiences.
