Chapter 34 Summary

Novalee does ordinary things over the next several days. However, she cannot stop thinking about Forney. She has dreams where he says goodbye. She tries to write him letters, but she rips them up because they sound silly. She sings love songs, reads poems, buys a heart key chain, and watches Casablanca. This is the first time she has been in love. She has been for months and she has to tell somebody. Lexie says Forney has always loved Novalee and asks when she told Forney.
