Chapter 10 Summary

Toby rushes home and showers before dressing again and going over to Scarlett's. Toby hides the cake for Zachary in the bushes before he climbs Scarlett's front steps to join her on the swing like Juan had done before him. Toby is disappointed not to sit on the side Juan sat on, but happy Scarlett does not send him away.

Scarlett talks about wanting to leave Antler and be a flight attendant or a model. Scarlett wants to be beautiful like the girls in the magazine she is reading, but she has a gap between her front teeth. Toby assures her that the gap only makes her more beautiful. Scarlett then says she wants to see the world, to be an International stewardess, however, she needs to learn another language to do that. Juan.....
