Chapters 21-30 Summary

In chapter twenty-one, Miranda's mother again practices her skills for the game show.

In chapter twenty-two, Julia has begun hanging out at the store, but the owner refuses to give her a job as well. Miranda refers to Julia as Swiss Miss because of a trip to Switzerland she took with her family. The owner of the shop picks up on this and calls her that too.

In chapter twenty-three, Miranda and Annemarie run into Julia at the bathrooms at school. Julia criticizes Annemarie for eating the sandwiches from the sandwich shop. Miranda asks Annemarie what Julia means, but she refuses to answer. Later, in class, Julia shoots a rubber band at Miranda.

In chapter twenty-four, Miranda sees Marcus again in the hallway at school, but he does not seem to remember who she is.
