Point of View

"Whatever Happened to Janie?" is written in the first-person perspective. The perspective switches between primarily between the two main characters, Jodie and Janie, in this second book of the Janie series. Alternating between the character perspectives, the reader is first given an insight into Janie and who she is now. Janie and Jodie are both slightly introspective, constantly comparing and examining life then and now, the fiction with the reality.
