Summary

Picking up right where Chapter 1 left off, now from Box Boy’s point of view, Ben chastises himself for not being able to mail the box. It was full of Hudson’s (his ex-boyfriend’s) things. Ben gets on the train to meet with his best friend, Dylan. As Ben makes his way to Dylan’s apartment, he thinks of how his relationship with Hudson ended. Hudson’s parents got divorced, and he grew more distant, until he and Ben had a fight after watching a rom-com. Then Hudson kissed “some random guy” at a party, told Ben, and wanted another chance, but Ben broke up with him (21). Ben is tired, because he woke up early to go to summer school.
