On September 10, Haruki left Hawaii for a two-week trip to Japan. There are more distractions in Japan than in Hawaii and he didn't have as much time to devote to running. He is barely running six miles a day but never takes two days off in a row. Muscles can get lazy if one's conditioning routines changes dramatically.
