Chapters 10 and 11 Summary

In Chapter 10, the Graysons, along with Evie's family, join Peter on the trip to Delray. Peter wins over Mr. Grayson by complementing him on his hotel in New York. When he learns that Mr. Grayson had been declared unfit for service because of his bad heart, Peter compliments him again by telling him that he believes that the men who had to stay behind and couldn't fight were the ones who had held the country together during the war.

Mr. Grayson mentions that the hotel in which they are staying is for sale. Mrs. Grayson jokingly asks if he plans to buy it. She indicates she believes the idea is crazy.
