Abby Capshaw

Abby Capshaw is the main character in "Westminster Abby". She is studying abroad and having experiences for the first time away from her parents. She has just turned 16, and she is determined to have new experiences. She goes to a good private school, and gets good grades there. She feels "terminally boring." (p. 3).

James

James is the boy whom Abby's parents want to get Abby away from by sending her away to London with the SASS program. James comes to see her in London halfway through the summer, and he says that he wants her back. He tells Abby that he had cheated on her because he was so afraid of wanting her as much as he did, and she doesn't believe him until she is swept away by his presence.
