In the past, Beryl had always gotten permission to fly out of Cairo quickly due to an official she had known. However, this official was not in town that week, so Beryl and Blix were forced to get a hotel room and wait. Blix passed the time drinking with friends who happened to be in town. Blix could normally drink his friends under the table, but on the fifth night they were in town, Blix met up with someone who could match him drink for drink. Early the next morning, Blix knocked on Beryl's door and told her a head had rolled from a body. Beryl, having no idea what he meant, let him into her room. Blix explained that he was walking home.....
