Summary

In Chapter 26, Chike continued to wrestle with the conundrum of what to do about Sandayọ and his money. While walking through Lagos, Chike pointed out a young girl to Sandayọ, noting that she should be in school rather than selling corn on the street. Sandayọ contemplated shouting that he was being robbed, knowing that a mob would likely form and burn his captors alive.

In Chapter 27, the group locked Sandayọ in the apartment's bathroom, and Chike told the others he wanted to give the money to the local schools. Fineboy wanted to keep it, but he was outvoted by the others.
